LAGOS State governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, yesterday sympathised with the family of a paramilitary official attached to the Lagos State Task Force, Silas Akude, who was bathed with acid last week while on duty. Ambode also directed the health ministry to take over all medical treatment towards the rehabilitation of the victim.

The governor, who sent his Special Adviser on Environment, Babatunde Hunpe, on a sympathy visit to the victim, also demanded that all medical expenses incurred by Akude’s family be forwarded to the government for refund.
