LAGOS State House of Assembly has issued a quit notice to occupants of a ground designated to Primary Healthcare Centre (PHC) in Ilamoshe ward, Ejigbo, Lagos.

Describing their occupancy as illegal, the House ordered the residents to vacate within one month.

House Committee Chairman on Health, Segun Olulade, during a visit to the area, said that the encroachment by land grabbers and its allocation to the current occupants was unacceptable.

Olulade said that the land had been proposed for health facility and remains unchanged.

It is on record, according to the lawmaker that the trespassers had been warned verbally by the Ejigbo Local Council Development Authority (LCDA) and have been issued a seven days quit notice.

He, however, appealed to the LCDA to have the seven-day ultimatum be extended to one month after which the trespassers would face forceful ejection, if they fail to comply willingly.

It would be recalled that the Health Committee during a recent tour shut the Blood Bank at Gbagada General Hospital citing the unhygienic condition of the centre.
